Now that we're parents of kids old enough to play in competitive and team sports, the competitiveness and athletes have come out in both Scott and myself. We want him to do good, to do it right and to love it as well. I'm not sure all three of those things can happen, but we are trying. I know at this age it's about having fun, but I can't believe how much I wonder will he be an athlete, what sports will he like, will it come to him and when will that happen? When did that happen for Scott and myself? I'm not sure, but it probably was not at the ripe old age of six. So, I must remind myself to let some of that go and encourage and support and love him for who he is and he is one amazing, wonderful boy I must say. I will try not to look at this picture of him and think "elbow up." I will say "good swing, good try, good hit, thatta boy bud!"
A boy after his momma's own heart
Trott and his friend Zachary, such good buddies.
