A Slow Start

So, I haven't been on here in a few weeks I just noticed. Life gets busy around here and I don't get the camera out nearly as often as I should. I started this a few days back and now here it is Sunday night and I'm getting back to my sentence that I started Thursday morning. I thought I better try and write one more before February is officially over.

We have had a little case of the sickies over here the past week or so. Ear infections, coughs, runny noses, stuffed up noses and sore throats. All the kids, plus Scott. Poor family. Somehow I tend to stay healthy and I'm very thankful for that. I do find it hard to miss some of the fun things we do during the week like Mom's Group and MOPS when the kids are sick, but that's just part of life with kids. They get sick and we stay home.

Last weekend my wonderful mother and father in law came for the weekend to help Scott out while my friend Andi and I flew to Minnesota to visit our friend Shannon. It was fun to fly again, fun to be with friends and connect, fun to go out to dinner and fun to get pedicures. We enjoyed our time with our dear friend who is just days away from having baby #4. I missed Scott and I missed the kids but I am glad I was able to go and do it. It's not often that a mom(or a dad for that matter) gets away and I don't see it happening again for awhile, so I am thankful for it. The kids loved having G&G here for three days and were spoiled rotten with donuts (and love and attention!) They love it and so do we. So Mom and Dad, thank you. We appreciate it very much.

This weekend we went to Michigan to finally celebrate my Dad's 60th birthday which was at the beginning of February. We went out to dinner with Mom and Dad, Marc and Steph, and Scott and myself. The kids and their three cousins were at Marc and Steph's with a babysitter while we went to dinner. It was a nice to be able to spend that time together kid free. It was also nice to my brother Marc to share his 35th birthday yesterday with us celebrating Dad's 60th.

So, that is our month in short. I do have a few pictures on my camera that I haven't downloaded yet so that will be another day. Now, I think I'll go to bed on time so I can keep trying to stay healthy.

We LOVED doing it. Although it makes us realize we're not at young as we used to be, it's great spending that time with the grandkids.
