Looking Ahead

I felt kind of bad after downloading my pictures just now and realizing that they are filled with Bree. Sorry Trott and Adri! I love you tons, but I guess Bree has more picture opportunities going on right now :) I'll have to make that my goal in the next little while...get pics and videos of the big kids too.

Sunday was a long day here (they always are) and I just had to do something, so we bundled up, got the bikes and stroller out and went around the block a couple of times. I thought for sure the sun was out when I made that decision and that the temp wasn't too bad, but after twice around we were rosy cheeked and quite chilly. Oh well, it was so good to get some fresh air!

Look at that Holly just waiting for Bree to drop her some crumbs, and boy does she get some crumbs! I don't know what I'd do without Holly! I'd be dustbusting the floor constantly! Thank you Holly!

This past week for me has me thinking so much about the future. I can't believe how much ahead of time things need to be done. I can hardly believe that Trott will be going into Kindergarten in the fall. It is here, the time has come for our first born. Can this really be true? Scott and I have made the decision to send Trott to Southwest Chicago Christian School. A huge decision that involved much praying and a lot of talking and discussion. We feel very good about it and are blessed to be able to go that route. I'm taking on more hours at work to help make it happen and Scott is working as hard as ever to support our family. The first school meeting was last week and I was thoroughly impressed by the teacher, principal, curriculum and school altogether. It was very different sitting in on a meeting like that as a parent and not the teacher. It was nice to be in that seat. The teacher in me loved hearing how the classroom runs and what he will be learning. The mom in me loved the smiling, loving, experienced teacher that will welcome him into her room next year.

It was also a big week for Adri. She's all signed up for preschool next fall and can't wait to go! She would love to be there now and could be, but we decided to go with one child at a time for preschool.

It was also time to sign Trott up for t-ball. It'll be his first year of that and we're all looking forward to it. I must admit I was a bit overwhelmed after that sign up. I'm not sure if it's just the league he will be playing in or if that's just how sports are these days. It's a kind of expensive for it all, I have to sell raffle tickets and I have to put in volunteer hours or pay more money. Yikes! We'll see how it goes I guess...
