There have been a few moments with Trott in just the past few days that I thought I just have to sit down and write about it. I'm sure it won't come across anything like it did when it was said, but I can try.
Trott is really into me telling him made up "once upon a time" stories lately. So, I try and get creative and start storytelling. The characters names are usually Trott and Adri go figure. (I tried switching that up yesterday and he made sure I switched it back to him in the story.) So I was telling this story and stopped but for a few seconds trying to think of what to say next and he's like "turn the page Mommy, I want to hear more." I guess I'm such a good storyteller he thought he had a book in front of him! Ha, it just made me smile.
He also likes the stories to have spooky ending so if I make it a happy ending he chimes in with his own "pooky" ending with monsters of some sort. Very cute and you should hear him say spooky, it's just like I wrote..."pooky."
Today while he was swinging he was commenting on my big belly and asked how the baby got in there. I hadn't thought of a good answer before this question so I told him is was a miracle. And he replied "a merry go round?" I tried correcting him a few times after that but once he had merry go round in his head he couldn't stop talking about a merry go round.
And one more thing he likes to say in the car, usually on the way to and from church. First, a yawn, then he says "God's making me sleepy, I need to rest."
So there are just a few snippets in the life of a 3 year old, never ceasing to make us smile, laugh and wonder. Oh how we love our kids!
