These are the before shots of the downstairs.
We began the work of making our house our home over the weekend. We spent hours in Lowe's, Menards and Home Depot and came out with a bunch of things but the fun stuff being paint and an order for carpet. Then we got busy painting the downstairs. It was that very dark wood paneling and it took a lot of time priming and painting, but so worth it! We are very pleased with the new look and glad that part is done. Hopefully next weekend we can paint the living and dining room so it's done before new carpet is installed. Stuff like this is so fun when you start and then the fun dies down as you keep painting and painting and painting. But, the finished product is always nice! We have many things besides painting that we want to do, especially Scott. He has some BIG ideas for home improvement. One thing at a time I say.
